ArcPad is a geographic information system (GIS) that can be used in the field. It incorporates GIS technology with operations that are carried out outside the office.

ArcPad is compatible with ArcView GIS 3.x and ArcGIS 9.x, and it offers the possibility of acquiring data via user-created text fields.

ArcPad allows the connection and the integration of positions captured by a global positioning system (GPS). By navigating through the screen, the user may easily identify the characteristics of a position by combining layers of georeferenced information in vector (shapefile, coverage) and raster (MrSid, Jpeg, Tiff, Bmp) format.

ArcPad operates in Windows 95/98, 2000, NT and CE.
