Tool for creating and managing quadrant samples and inventory cruise lines

	The GSF Sondage extension add a menu in the View GUI with functions permetting Samples plots creation, Plots numbering, traverse creation with azimut and distance, statistical calculation and configuration. Since version 3.3.2, an export function in MRNF digital RAIF format is available !!! PLots creation can be with with 10 methods and the configuration option can automaticaly assign values for IPS Prescription Methods IMLNU et EVAOR alow plots creation according to the rquirements of the Ministry of Natural Ressource and Wildlife of Quebec.

The principal interface Plots creation, give the user the choice of the sampling method, the numbering option (N-S,W-O and bi-directionnal) activate Grids creation associates with plots. The grids are rectangulare or with angle, according to the selected method. An Annulation function, add an identifier to quickly remove unwanted nonsatisfactory plots.

The function Create plots along existing polyline allows a fast addition of points this function also have an Annulation option.

The interface of Creation of travers allows the digitalization and fast structuring of transfered inventories. It is possible to establish transfered with an angle defined by the user for the case of the inventories of afforestation and refilled just as for the commercial cuts (transfered perpendicular to the paths of unloading)..

The function Statistics Calculation for EVAOR and IMLNU allows the creation of a text file including information relating to the number of plots to be establish overall and per sector of intervention. Example EVAOR Example IMLNU

	At version 3.3.2, a new function give access to an exportation process witch use one or more themes to create a new one in the forest report digital format request by the Ministry of forest (RAIF numérique du MRNF) The function use the configuration, pertiting the values transfert of your own fields in the one request by the ministry. The fucntion crete a new theme.

The configuration interface of makes it possible to specify personal field names which will be used by the extension during the creation of plots and traverses. It is also possible to configure the extension so that each plots created has good information for IPS Prescription. At version 3.3.2, additionnals informations for attributes data destinied for digital forest report (RAIF numérique) can be specify. This way, all points will be conform to the Ministry norm directly at the creation time.


In private woodlots or for special projects, many processes are available to meet the needs of our users. Also, GSF Sondage can be used for the realization of survey plans of estimated volumes affected by harvesting operations (EVAOR) and unused wood resources inventories (IMLNU) according to Quebec Minister of Natural Resources and Wildlife standards.

This extension is also available for ArcGIS !!!
