The Tracés Automatiques extension makes it possible to quickly and automatically produce views, page setups and RTL format print files (Raster Transfer Language) from Hewlett Packard. The user can then produce series of maps containing multiple layers of geographical information.

In a first step, the user must configure the application by specifying the themes to be added while building the map. For each theme, the user specifies the location on the disk, the composition parameters on all formats (Shp, ArcInfo, DXF, DGN, DWG, Image Tif, Bil, Ecw, etc.)

Next, the user modifies (if needed) the page setup which comes with the extension. Two scales are available: 1:20000 and 1:50000.

It is also possible to launch the printing of the maps in batch, specifying the time for the maps to be sent to print and the delay between each task.

The creation of RTL files is possible through a selection of views on a theme of layers or any other theme which incorporate the layer numbers in its attributes table.
