GSFNAV is a navigation system allowing the positioning of machinery in the field in real time in addition to recording its movement for more rigorous planning of tasks. This system was developed for all types of mechanical activities where the knowledge of real time positioning means significant gains in productivity and quality.

Used along side ArcPad, the operator may visualize on a screen located inside the cabin, a map indicating the position of the machinery combined with multiple layers of geographical information such as sectors of intervention, roads and hydrology of the terrain.

Built for the difficult conditions of forest work, it brings together components that were selected for their endurance and their simplicity of use. The navigation system is installed on a durable computer of Tablet PC type which is adapted to all types of machinery.

The transfer of data is easily achieved with a portable USB port or a PCMCIA card.

Paired with SMF application for ArcView GIS or ArcGIS, the GSFNAVsystem proposes a solution for foresters wishing to obtain precise monitoring of equipment in the field and production of high quality data.
