On august 29, 2008 a rocket DNEPR-1 has put into orbit a constellation of 5 satellites RapidEye. Those satellites capture images with a resolution of 5 meters with spectral band in the visible and near infra-red..

The cost of acquisition of images from the kiosk is 1.50 Euros / km2 with a minimum order of 50 EUROS. The cost of acquiring the image archive is 0.95 Euros / km2 with a minimum order of 2500 EUROS.
